Το “666 – The Apocalypse Of John” που κυκλοφόρησε αρχικά το 1974 από το ελληνικό συγκρότημα των Aphrodite’s Child, είναι ένα από τα πιο φιλόδοξα, και σπουδαία progressive rock άλμπουμ όλων των εποχών. Σε σύνθεση του Βαγγέλη Παπαθανασίου και στίχους του Κώστα Φέρρη, το “666” είναι ένα διπλό κονσεπτ άλμπουμ που χαρακτηρίστηκε ως ένα «έργο εκπληκτικής πολυπλοκότητας και αυθεντικότητας» και αποτελεί μια κορυφαία στιγμή στην καριέρα των Aphrodite’s Child, ενός group που επίσης συμπεριλάμβανε τον Ντέμη Ρούσσο (φωνή, μπάσο), και τους χαρισματικούς μουσικούς Αργύρη Κουλούρη (lead guitar) και Λουκά Σιδερά (drums, φωνητικά).

Με υλικό όπως το “The Four Horsemen”, “Aegean Sea”, “Babylon”, “Do It”, “The Beast” & “All The Seats Were Occupied”, η δημοτικότητα αυτού του άλμπουμ έχει σταδιακά αυξηθεί με το πέρασμα των δεκαετιών επηρεάζοντας διαδοχικές γενιές μουσικών!
